One Partner for Hiring, Engineering, and Getting Things Built
Soap Creek Resources was founded in 2017 by Midwesterners with hands-on backgrounds in engineering, fabrication, and financial services. We’d spent years working in and around manufacturing, and we kept seeing the same gaps: companies that couldn’t find the right people, products that couldn’t get off the ground, and good candidates who couldn’t find employers worth their time.
So we built something to fix all of it.
What started as a recruiting firm quickly grew into something broader, because the people we were helping kept asking for more. Could we help them staff an engineering project? Fabricate a prototype? Get a patent application started? The answer, more often than not, was yes.
Today, Soap Creek Resources offers three core services, and whether you come to us as an employer, a job seeker, or an inventor with a napkin sketch, we’re here to help.
For Employers: Recruiting and Staffing That Actually Works
Hiring in manufacturing and engineering is hard. The skills gap is real, qualified candidates are selective, and an open role costs you more every day it stays unfilled.
We help companies hire at every level, from labor and entry-level positions to engineers, managers, and executives. We place people in direct full-time roles, contract positions, and everything in between. And because our team has actually worked in these industries, we know the difference between a resume that looks good and a candidate who will thrive on your floor.
We’re out there walking shop floors and talking shop talk. When we send you a candidate, it’s because we genuinely believe they’re the right fit, not just the next name on a list.
We place:
- Labor, skilled trades, and entry-level staff
- Engineers and technical specialists
- Mid-level managers and department leads
- Executives and C-suite leaders
Placement types:
- Direct full-time placement
- Contract and contingent staffing
- Temp-to-hire and everything in between
For Job Seekers: Your Next Best Opportunity, at No Cost to You
If you’re looking for your next move (whether that’s a stepping stone or a long-term career), Soap Creek Resources works for you, completely free of charge.
We use more than 50 years of combined, down-to-earth industry experience to connect candidates with employers worth working for. When you partner with us, we handle the legwork: finding openings, setting up interviews, helping you prepare, and negotiating pay on your behalf.
Finding the right fit shouldn’t feel like a second job. Whether you’re looking for remote, hybrid, or on-site work (hourly or salaried, early career or executive), we’ll help you find a role that actually fits!
For Builders and Businesses: Engineering and Fabrication Services
If you have a product idea (from a sketch on a napkin to a nearly-finished design that needs the final push), we have the tools, the team, and the expertise to bring it to life. We work with everyone from large corporations to individual inventors, and we can jump in at any phase: concept, development, validation, or full production.
Engineering services include:
- CAD modeling and drafting (including complex assemblies, sheet metal, casting, and structural)
- Design and manufacturing engineering
- Finite element analysis (FEA)
- Hydraulic and electrical routings
- Reverse engineering
- Drawing conversions
- Patent application support
- Project management
Fabrication and production capabilities include:
- 3D printing: prototyping and production-ready parts
- Laser cutting and plasma cutting
- CNC bending and manual machining
- Welding and assembly
- Powder coat painting (from single parts to full-sized trucks)
- Shearing, rolling, and band saw work
We’re not an electrical, machine, or plastics fabricator, but if you need those, we likely know someone who can help!
From the first conversation to the finished product going out the door, we’ll be there to listen, adapt, and advise. That’s not a tagline; it’s just how we work.
Why Soap Creek Resources?
There are plenty of staffing firms. There are engineering shops. There are fabricators. What there aren’t many of is a team that brings genuine industry experience across all three, treats every relationship like a long-term one, and approaches every project (big or small) with straight-talking Midwestern practicality.
We grow when our clients and candidates succeed. That keeps us honest, and it keeps us motivated.
Whether you need to hire, get hired, or build something, we’d love to talk!
